Last weekend we took a quick trip up north to visit family and go to the graduation party of Avery and Cooper's cousin, Jonathan. Although I never got a shot of the kids with the star of the party, we had a great time. Congratulations Little Jon!
Cooper checked out his cousin Jack's awesome floatation device.
....and spent some time with his adoring Aunt and Uncle. The next day, Cooper took a turn driving Aunt Shelley's boat! He was pretty good, actually.

Avery spent a lot of time playing with the usual toys at Grandma and Papa's house - but this time the tricycle was a huge hit. Here, Avery has chosen the weird old mouse doll to be her passenger. Hold on tight weird old mouse doll!
Have you seen this man? He spent HOURS playing restaurant with Avery, and he was so patient with her! Here was a verbatim exchange:
We finished off our trip with a few nice dips in the lake thanks to the kids' great-grandmother and their wonderful Aunt Phyllis and Kirsten. Thanks to everyone for letting us spend time with you and enjoy your homes!

Papa: How about a milkshake?
Avery: Milkshakes are just for dogs.

Avery: We only serve watermelon here.
Papa: I'll take it.
