The kids spent the past two weeks at their grandparents house, in what can only be described as a wonderful summer camp-like adventure. The perfect summer vacation! (except we missed their dad, who was home renovating the house). There was swimming, some awesome boat rides at Aunt Shelley & Uncle Jonathan's, biking, playing with Jack & Brayden (and Kate!), pool-time at Uncle David & Aunt Ellen's, visiting with friends and family and in general spending hours entertaining and being entertained by their wonderful grandparents. Number one attraction? Oddly.....it was cleaning the barn with their grandmother. Cooper, especially, enjoyed his barn chores! And then, one bright sunny morning his grandfather pulled out all the stops and fired up his tractor.
Whoa: Cooper's life will never be the same.
These two ladies deserve a LOT of credit for hours of entertaining and monitoring two very enthusiastic swimmers. Most days, their lips were as blue as their towels by the time we got them out. Thank you Meema for letting us spend so much time with you and for our fancy tea party!
And one day during Cooper's nap Avery and I discovered Uncle Sean's old pedal car. She was so excited to shine it up for him as a surprise! And he loved it...even though at the moment he can only travel backwards.
Thank you everyone!
We had a great extended vacation and we love you all!
