We took a day trip to New York this weekend to visit awesome cousin Anna and show Avery the sights. We had an absolutely amazing time!! The day was packed with fun and holiday spirit. After a great lunch we took a beautiful walk through Central Park.
Despite living in the country with daily wildlife, Avery spent a good portion of this walk chasing squirrels and digging acorns.....that's our kid!
Anna's friend Everett generously carried Avery throughout the day when she needed it. Thank you Everett!
After (2 rides on) the carousel, we went to the fanciest and most spectacular tea on earth.
There were tiny cupcakes, tiny chocolate mousse and big laughs.
It was an absolutely fabulous trip, thanks entirely to Anna - for planning our day, being so much fun and her willingness to brave the crowds to show us around. We love you Anna!!! You made our trip spectacular.
Avery was barely awake by the end of the day, and slept the moment we got on the bus for home. When I woke her up she said "We ARE doing that again, it was the most fun I've ever had".
Wow.
