We were excited to be invited back this year for another Halloween hayride with some good friends. Last year's ride was such a blast, we jumped at the chance. Being a week before "real" Halloween, it also gave the kids a chance to hone their skills and test their costumes: Super Elephant! A smartly up-cycled costume (circa Avery 2010) utilizing some super-hero accessories to make it acceptable to Cooper:
And, Puff the "Tired" Dragon... I mean, that could be the only reason the eyes look that way right?
Avery, despite a nasty cold, was determined to power through and make the most of the night. She and Cooper had some fun sidekicks too.
Poor Avery faded pretty fast though.
Until she reached the point when her actual eyes matched her costume eyes.
Not Cooper though - he easily outlasted some of the smaller elephants on the trailer.
