Avery & Cooper packed up the car this weekend and headed down to visit their cousins in North Carolina. We have been wanting to take a road trip to see everyone for quite a while, and we were excited to finally have the chance. As a (major) bonus, Avery and Cooper's grandmother, aunt Shelley and Meema came down too! It was a wonderful weekend that went by WAY too fast.
It started with a lot of swinging and general monkey-ing around in their cousins Whitley's fabulous back yard. The weather was chilly, but the kids made the most of their afternoon. Whitley was a great hostess and all three of the kids took turns playing and enjoying each other's company.
It was nice to see!
Cooper, his wonderful Great-Great-Uncle Dick,
and cousin Tom (who provided a delicious meal that night)!
......and my very favorite part of this weekend.....Whitley has a karaoke microphone and is SO GOOD at performing!! Here she is belting out her very favorite morning tune, and Coop isn't going to miss his chance to strum along to her vocals.
(Rocky the pup is not impressed).
On Sunday we were treated to a terrific brunch at Aunt Judy & Uncle Dick's new home. It is a beautiful place and we really enjoyed ourselves! The kids had a nice time coloring and wrestling with their cousin Dave, and took a little side trip to the local playground.
Thank you for a great morning Judy and Dick!
We hope to come back very soon.
These two are now very good friends, and will both be kindergartners in the Fall!
Cooper was lucky enough to steal some Grammy time for himself.
Meema and Uncle Dick chit chatting.
Coop and his new favorite "cousinette" Terri.
Two beauties!
Our gracious hosts for the whirlwind visit. Thanks you guys!!
Hope to see you up our way soon!
