Sarasota Part III

Our extended weekend trip to visit Avery & Cooper's great-grandmother has come to an end - but it was a vacation we will never forget.

Thank you to Meema for being such a gracious and lovely hostess (even when we walked in to her week unexpectedly), and to Aunt Judy, Uncle Dick, Aunt Margie & Uncle Don for keeping us entertained and comfortable. And a huge kiss and thank you to the kids' Grandma, who organized the trip and helped us get through the logistics of travelling with two little people.

We are such a lucky family.

Avery snuggles with her Meema.

Our little breakfasts in the kitchen were a special time for all of us.

Here is the gang after a big night out on the town to celebrate Uncle Don's Birthday.

These people can party!

Avery affectionately called him "Birthday Boy" all night, and then the next day when he visited and called out "the Birthday Boy is here!", she seriously told him it was over.

He was no longer her Birthday Boy.

Cooper got all dressed up for the party and behaved like a perfect gentleman - thank you Aunt Vicki for the awesome outfit!

Avery helps her Aunt Judy with her favorite part of the party.

Cooper and his great-grandmother.

Our little boy was BUSY this week! Working on his crawling and dragging his little body everywhere. He will never sit still again!

Grandma and her two biggest fans head out to the ice cream store. Avery glammed it up with some new necklaces and bracelets. Accessorizing is her new thing.

Also, so many "firsts" during this trip! Cooper learned how to get from a sitting to a crawling position, and Avery learned to swim short distances without her water wings. She also spontaneously and unprompted read the word "door" while we were in an elevator, sounding out the letters all by herself. So many accomplishments!
