Cooper's Baptism

A few weeks ago we celebrated Cooper's baptism. He was surrounded by loving family and friends and we all had a wonderful day. Here he is, getting dressed and ready with Aunt Kelly before the big event.

When the moment arrived, he was such a good boy.
Smiling out at the crowd and looking sweetly up at the priest while his
Godfather looks on proudly.

After his christening, Pastor Grace walked him around the church....we all held our breath because if you've spent any time with our little guy, you know that he has trouble keeping his food in his stomach. We were all waiting for him to lose his breakfast on the priest's robes - but he managed to keep it all in the entire time she held him. We were relieved!

Pastor Grace, Cooper with his mom & dad, and Godparents Mike and Maura.

Cooper was baptized in his Oma Jutta's church, and it was a wonderful experience.
The community was so warm and welcoming to us.

Some special guests came to help us celebrate, including Grammy and Papa, Aunt Kelly (all the way from Nevada!), all of our loving local family, some fabulous friends from Boston and new and old friends from the area.

Avery was a perfect big sister during the day, pictured here with her friend Rachel. The two girls had the good taste to wear the same dress!
