Florida 2010

Avery and I just got home from a trip down to Florida to visit Avery's great-grandmother. Although we both missed her dad terribly, it was a very fun trip and Avery's Grandma was there too! There was always something happening. The little lady learned to "swim", with the help of her water wings. Her tricks include a quick spin in place, and raising her feet up out of the water in front of her. She spent a lot of time yelling to her aunt Marge "Margie - watch me swim!!" and then performing these audacious feats.
She was a very proud two year old.

Dinner with the gang.

Avery's Meema gave her so many great gifts while we were there - but the favorite was this tiny chef's apron with tools.

One morning the four of us went to the marina - so much to see! Although the manatees snubbed us, the turtles were good sports.

(....a huge thank you to one of Avery's dad's friends at work for this fun towel - promising her a wrap up in this towel was the only way to lure her out of the pool! We love it!)

Our final night we had a fun dinner hosted by Avery's great Aunt and Uncle. For some reason the meatballs were the best thing Avery had ever tasted, and she ate more than she has ever eaten in her life (see that face? she's stuffed). Thank you both for hosting us!
And thank you for a wonderful trip Meema and grandma! We had so much fun, thanks to your generosity and love.
