Reno!

This past weekend, we were lucky enough to head to Nevada to visit our west-dwelling family.
We had a fabulous time! Thank you to Avery's Aunt Kelly and Uncle Jeff who generously hosted us, and to Avery's cousins Ben and Jenna (and extended cousins Katherine, Rob & Gwen) for treating us to a wonderful weekend. And to top off all the fun, we were joined by Avery's Aunt Susan and Uncle Bill, who were kind enough to spend some of their summer travel time with us, showing Avery the sights of Nevada.
We love you and miss you guys!!
First up was a kyaking trip down the Truckee River. Although Avery chose to stay home and let the fellas do the heavy paddling, she met them at the end for the pick-up.

On Saturday we went for a fabulous hike in the mountains surrounding Reno.
It was hot but a lot of fun! Here's our girl with her cousins Jenna and Ben.
This is a gorilla in Aunt Kelly's back yard...Avery named it "mo mo" and gave it frequent kisses in between feeding it veggies from the garden. I think she will miss mo mo the most.

Bubbles in the backyard with awesome Aunt Kelly and Avery's newfound friend Jillian, who was dedicated to keeping Avery in bubbles during the wonderful party pictured below. Handling the time change with the greatest of ease, our girl partied every night until 9 pm!

Hanging out with Ben & Gwen in her new t-shirt from New Zealand (thank you Jenna!)

As expected, Avery headed straight for the slots when we arrived.

Enjoying a west coast tradition, In-N-Out Burger. So yummy!

Staying cool in the Nevada heat.

Our frequent flyer knew to take airplane safety with the utmost seriousness.

Taking a morning stroll with Uncle Jeff on the way to pick blackberries for breakfast.

Goodbye Reno and the Jesch Family!! We had a great time!
