Today Avery and I spent our day walking around the National Zoo. It was a lot of fun!! I think Avery enjoyed it, although she started her growling again (for any of you who haven't heard it - it is funny but also slightly demonic because it is loud and has duel-tones)...we hit all the big attractions, pandas, elephants, hippos, & apes. I intended to get better pictures to commemorate her first visit, but the camera was out of batteries. At least we got one of an elephant sitting on my head!!
